As an Accounts and Business Advisory Accountant for our client, you will be responsible for helping clients in the Northeast and beyond to build a better business.

To collaborate with Accounts and Business Advisory team members and Lead Advisors to deliver world class service to a portfolio of high growth and established clients everywhere, build better businesses adhering to our core values at all times. You will also be expected to work with your line manager and colleagues to implement the departmental business plan and deliver on set performance measures.

A typical day might include:
1. Interacting with clients to obtain information
2. Motivate and support all colleagues to develop personally and professionally, this involves supporting colleagues to meet their own KPI’s
3. Conduct CPD & Training to ensure staying ahead of the curve with new technology and business knowledge
4. Prepare annual financial statements for review, with supporting schedules in line with current accounting standards and to the deadlines set
5. Provide management accounts for clients at whatever frequency specified. Identify and analyse variances to ensure there is effective management control over the business.
6. Suggest relevant improvement ideas and collaborate with lead advisors to ensure they get the information they need.
7. Have a basic understanding of tax/vat and other statutory compliance to enable you to direct client queries to the correct department
8. Assist lead advisors in gathering information for preparing budgets and forecasts
9. Give a customer that you know are struggling a call…. just because you know it can be lonely as a business owner sometimes

Our client does not see any member of the team as a ‘number’ every member of the team is key in executing our exciting yet ambitious growth strategy. Two keyways you would be involved in this:

Working groups are a keyway to implement large projects. You will have the opportunity to chair, project manager or plan key projects alongside your teammates.

You will also attend weekly huddles of which the purpose is to share financial and non-financial performance of the business. Some of our company performance measures are Gross Profit, Net Promoter Score, Gross Value Added and New Clients.

Essentials
1. A Qualified ACCA/ACA Accountants or Qualified by Experience
2. Able to adapt to a changing environment, particularly with technology
