Our client is a professional market leading Estate Agents & Lettings company with a large portfolio of properties. They are looking for a Head of Property Management & Accounts who enjoys solving problems, great with numbers and is able to work well under pressure.
At least 5 years Property Management experience required for this position. Not essential but nice to have ARLA Accreditation.
This role will be responsible for all property in-house property accounting and for supervising service charge accounts produced by management agents. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial and performance reports and assisting with annual budgets and reviews.
·Production of quarterly VAT returns accurately and within HMRC deadlines.
·Production of in-house service charges and to consult with managing agents to ensure they adhere to service charge requirements.
·Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting
·Production of balance sheets and profit/loss statements for a portfolio of companies
·Analyse accounts and suggest improvements to reduce costs and increase profits
·Work with the management team to prepare annual budgeting data and assist departmental teams in compilation of budgets for the year
Skills & Personal Attributes:
·Excellent excel skills including pivot tables and V Look up
·Good experience of property service charge accounting and legislation.
·Good experience and knowledge of property VAT
·Conscientious and dependable
·A working knowledge of property management issues
·Competent negotiator, with excellent Communication skills
